cool. feel like explaining the philosophy bit? sounds interesting. there seems to be a small glitch with the scrollers - if u drag one, and (keeping the mouse down) move over another one, u start moving both at the same time. a lil' lightbulb fell into my ear (damaging my hearing temporarily) - if u wanted to, u could have the flowers (and their respective scrollers) reacting to the size of the one ur editing. for instance, if one is getting bigger, the two on either side could get smaller, or whatever the directing philosophy dictates -jacob

hi benelek, there's quite a number of sites that discuss ikebana. on a more general sense, ikebana is the japanese art of flower arrangement. through these arrangements, an expressive form of the universe is conveyed. usually, an ikebana arrangement is composed of three stems: primary, secondary and ornamental. each element represents one of the following: humanity, heaven and earth. there are two general ikebana styles: heika and moribana. the moribana style isn't as strict as the heika style. heika is an arrangement that deals with tall, mostly narrow, vases. moribana has shallow dish-like containers. ikebana is believed to have originated from the ikebono school. gee. i'm just rambling here... should i go on? yup. took note of the scrollbar stuff. will make the adjustments. thanks.

What a very cool idea! Nicely done. Unless the intent was to make the interface something you *have* to explore, you might want to put some sort of visual indication of which controller affects which flower.

| thanks. i was actually thinking of putting some indicators but the idea of having the user explore stuff seem nicer hehe... it's just composed of eight stems anyway... would be more fun if it were like a hundred stems. (do i hear a thousand)

| for some reason or another, the composition gives a sense of peace and serenity. what are your thoughts sooner or later, u'll see that the links at http://directory.google.com/Top/Arts/Crafts/Flowers/Ikebana/ are worth looking at.

a good ikebana composition seems (like all compositions) to have a lot to do with lighting, complexity and colouring. feel like adding some more scrollers (just a few )?
