Mr. Prufrock, It's wonderful to have another posting from you. Where did this experimentation come from? I prefer the studies involving squares.

Hello Mr.REAS, It comes from a little animation loop (about 1 min), which will be displayed on a 4m x 4m LED panel. My plan was to make some simple visual illusions, which hopefully will look good when it's big... I hope I'll get some photos of the actual thing very soon. Initially, I used processing to make very simple animation, then converted them to quicktime, then edit them in AfterEffects, and then mess around in director. The screenGrab() is a very nice and useful function. I prefer the square ones too, especially when I'm drunk... Cheers!
