There is no choice for :
- "Chaining our work to a video
- "use 640*480 res"

both leading options are actually just one for me and what i ment in the first place...
i would chose a simple symbol. circle would be best i think and everybody starts and end with it... so i dont think these options exclude each other.

Yes, its true that some poll options are exclusive while others are not.
I was thinking that there is an issue of content defining medium and vice-versa: Chaining will produce video but choosing at random will produce a sketch in the end right? The cross/circle on the contrary does not define a medium by itself.
So, my question is, since the vote is not exclusive, how will medium and content be chosen in the end?

i had the same thoughts, you cant compare these options.

but it looks like there is a favorite anyway. look at option 2 and 7. They get most of the votes by themselfs and when combining them, what i still do cause i believe its the same or at least similar idea,  i am sure we have something we can work with.

It is true, these are the most popular.

The issue of video versus sketch/realtime thingy though remains, at least in theory.
Personally, I'd definitely go with video, for far too many reasons to mention in a short post Smiley

yes, i always thought of videos. i believe it makes sense when stitching together 150 frames, that start and end with one symbol. everybody outputs 150pngs, and somebody converts them to a video... easy as that.

Yes, there is a certain elegance to that. And having everyone work with the same thing will demonstrate the diversity of what you can do with Processing and how it unlocks people's individual creativity....though the other ideas would probably do the same thing .... well, I still like this idea best.

Yes the combined effort is still in the works.
We are looking for a format that will allow seamless transition from sketch to sketch while maintaining a decent frame-rate and smooth transition.

If you have any modifications or suggestions to the proposed sketch format found here

why seamless transitions between sketches ? i actually thought the poll made it clear that every participant makes a little video of X frames, that starts and end with the same symbol/element and we stitch it together in the end.... its probably the easiest way compared to trying to put them all together in a real sketch.
