Yeah, mine too pandaman.

I've got QT 7.0.4, Processing 0107. Was using WinVDIG105, tried to de-install, then re-install WinVDIG101, but to no availe!

Followed pandaman's instuctions, deleting files before install, and now it WORKS!!!!

Thanks. Two days of headache over!

After fussing around with quicktime 7 and winvdig 1.05 I finally uninstalled everything and installed quicktime 6.5 and  winvdig 1.01 and winvdig and quicktime are happy. However, i am still having problems on the processing end I get this error:

Logitech QuickCam Messenger-WDM

java.lang.NullPointerException

at processing.core.PGraphics.image(PGraphics.java:1696)

at processing.core.PApplet.image(PApplet.java:6684)

at Temporary_4475_2721.draw(Temporary_4475_2721.java:33)

at processing.core.PApplet.handleDisplay(PApplet.java:1336)

at processing.core.PGraphics.requestDisplay(PGraphics.java:535)

at processing.core.PApplet.run(PApplet.java:1152)

at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

Anybody using a Logitech Quickcam Messenger that works?

Oh, I figured it out. You need to specify which webcam to capture when you write the capture code.

The fix is an uninstall issue and requires deleting some files after uninstall. Note this is not Pandamans fix but taken from eden.net which has all versions of WinVDIG. Can't post url sorry...

    [1]Uninstall WinVDIG
    [2]Delete C:\Windows\System32\QuickTime\VsVDIG.qtx
    [3]Delete C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTComponents\WinVDIG.qtx

haha. figured it out - thought you had to have WinVdig's QTCap program running, once I closed that no problems.
