Cursor delay, video included

I'm not exactly sure how to explain this, but when I type past 7 characters, the cursor starts to lag behind.  I'm running a fresh copy of processing with os x 10.3, updated with all the current patches. My java installation seems fine too.  Anyways, here is the video

Is this the cursor focus error listed in the bugs faq?

have you changed the default font size? it looks like you've made it 9 pt or something like that, and osx is telling java the wrong widths for characters.

Yup, that was it.  It seems like 10 is the smallest I can go in OS X without problems.  Anything smaller, which would be silly anyways, doesn't work properly.  8 and below does just the opposite, where the cursor jumps ahead about 5 spaces, where as with a 9 pt font, it lags behind.   I guess I'll stick with a 10 pt for now, thanks man.

k, i'll make a note to see what's going on but i'm guessing there's not much we can do. thanks for posting the movie to make things clear.. makes it way easier for me to diagnose things quickly.

entered in the bugs db in case someone knows what's up (i'm guessing it's something to do with how monaco 9 is reporting its size on os x since it's a bitmap, not outline, font)
