Line spacing (leading) in Java apps?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask the question, but here it goes: I have a funny problem in my Java apps since a few days: all text suddenly has a much higher line height than normal (a leading about half of the font size). It's everywhere, not just in the text editor, but also in the menus. Just installed jEdit; same thing there. Any ideas? I'm on WinXp. Regards, Bert

| Not specifically, I guess it's more related to Java in general, but the problem occurs in Processing as well and it is very annoying to read code with so much space between the lines. Anyway, feel free to delete this thread if you think it's not appropriate to ask this question here.

i see.. it's in any app running java, not a question of programming java applets. i was getting concerned about the processing board turning into a java programming free-for-all.. the only time i've seen weird jumps like that is when i've messed with my default fonts (i.e. using adobe's version of courier instead of microsoft's on a pc) or i've also seen it when international fonts are in use (i.e. the input method is set to japanese or chinese).
