would there be a provision for
color x = #yyyyyy, a;
where a is alpha?

we couldn't decide whether it should be #AARRGGBB or #RRGGBBAA so we wound up nixing it in the most recent release (it was in there for two or three).
normally it should be #AARRGGBB, but all the rest of our color functions are r, g, b, a so it seemed confusing.
