mother hen for graphics engine bugs

hi all, another plea for help.. one of the most difficult to track issues for us are weird behavior coming out of the graphics engine. often, many are related to the same sort of bug, but i'm running out of time to keep track of everything on the board and keep it organized. what's needed rove around the bug/syntax/programs sections of the discourse site and see what problems people are having. who could do this ideally it's someone with graphics programming experience, who might have insight into what sort of issues are related (hey, even fixing bugs). but since that may be difficult to find, we'd like someone who can be thorough and organized. lots of our consistent bug reporters would do well with this job, we just need someone to commit for a while on doing it consistently. commitment check the bboard some where between daily and once a week, the closer to daily the better. help track and organize bugs that get reported, respond as necessary, get offending example code running. get the bug filed with us, perhaps figure out whether it's related to another that may have already been brought up. could it be me? send mail to processing@media.mit.edu to let us know if you're interested; or post your questions here. anything else? anyone taking the position is welcome to set their own title. if you wanna call yourself "bagel momma", it's all you.

i asked ben and casey what is a "mother hen" but they didn't take my question seriously so i thought i could set myself a french title, for example "bagel papa poule"! mm... let's forget about titles for now... anyway, no mercy and myself will manage to track the bugs in the graphics engine, by the way, it is a great way to learn more about processing, java, opengl, graphics programming, etc. if you happen to see something that looks like a graphics-related-bug, you're invited to post a note in the "software bugs" board. sometimes, it can be difficult to reproduce a bug based solely on a textual description, also, a lot of suspected "bugs" are finally declared non-guilty: for these reasons, including into your note a minimalistic, de-obfuscated source code reproducing the "case" would be a must! thank you and see you around! ariel

i was a bit late on posting it, but as you can guess from ariel's message, he's offered and we've made him the bagel papa poule (sorry, name is stuck. can't change it now). thanks a bunch to ariel for helping out, we need the extra hands and it's already been useful for us in things he's been able to find and track.
