toxiclibs - subdividing terrain

Hello ! - noob question before I throw my computer against the wall...

I can't for the life of me figure out how to maintain the elevation height of the cells in a terrain mesh when I apply subdivision methods to a mesh. They subdivide but the resulting mesh comes out as a uniform plank. I can't seem to work put where to apply the .setElevation method to the second mesh.
