PFont - default smooth?!
somebody knowlege about the default-smoothing?

the same like this

?

Perhaps try both, side-by-side, and visually compare? With a zoom application or a magnifier, if needed.
The smooth() / noSmooth() global parameter can have an influence, too. In the past, it was false as default, today it is true.
