hey everyone!
i'm the author of the edsdk4j library, a wrapper around canon's EDSDK library that let's you control your camera from your computer. amongst other things you can take and download images, set iso/aperature/exposure, fetch a liveview image and a few other things. it only works on windows (at this point, at least).
recently i was sponsored to turn this project into a processing library. i'm looking for a few testers before releasing it to make sure it works other people's computers too. is anyone with a canon camera and a windows pc interested in testing this?
if so please post here or pm me, and i'll send you a link to the current version. the first thing you'd need to do is to apply for sdk access with canon (it's free, but takes a while):
thx, best, hansi.

I have moved this topic to a more appropriate category.
when it start working on Mac... I would love to play with. Is it good with a 7D or 5D?
@quark thx! @_vk yep, it works with all prosumer/highhend canons. macos version could take a while. don't really have a need for it at the moment.
I would love to help. I think i already have acces to the sdk since i asked canon for that a few years ago. I have a canon eos 400D which is quite old but still good, would be nice if your library works.
the library is now publicly available: http://forum.processing.org/two/discussion/6566/announcing-edsdk-processing-canon-slr-plugin-for-windows#Item_1
