Does this error message matter: libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate ?

edited May 2014 in Using Processing

When I start some processing sketches on my XUbuntu 14.04 64bit box I get an error message "libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate". Does this error matter ? I do not recognize any loss in performance. I can set the environment variable EGL_DRIVER="egl_glx" and force libegl to use glx instead of what seems like a buggy DRI2 implementation, but although the error disappears I see no increase in framerate.

  • I got that error msg as well. Still need to upgrade my Lubuntu 13.04 to an LTS version.
