Hi,
I am really interested in working on processing during the summer but I have also applied to few internships for which I will only know the result in like a week or less than 10 days. I dont want to create problems later on if I apply now and decide to drop out in a week. Because it maybe a hard choice for me, do you think I can drop out after applying if I know the result in a few days or is it better not to apply.
Thank you thestut

See the FAQ: See: http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/document/show/gsoc_program/google/gsoc2014/help_page#11._How_much_time_is_required_to I would suggest apply only if you can commit to the time.
Thank you shiffman, I should have framed it in a better way.
I will be committing the full required time if I get accepted. What I meant was Can I dropout before they announce who is accepted.

I think you can, yes. Check all the google materials and alert us via e-mail if you are dropping.
