Interaction with video projection

Hello, I would like to ask how to interact using your body ,to a video projection.The general idea is to put someone in front of a video projection and as he getting closer starts to change the content of the video, for example. changing colours to the image.As he getting closer, the effect will get stronger. Thanks

For the sketch to know this you will probably need either:

1. a proximity sensor or
2. a depth-sensing camera (e.g. a Kinect) or
3. computer vision tracking (e.g. OpenCV / BoofCV) that guesses at depth using e.g. markers.
