Q2 of 2: Applying PixelFlow library to liquids

edited February 2017 in Questions about Tools

Exploring my way into fluid dynamics. Hoping to use available tools to simulate shallow water, small amplitude wave motion.

Besides the early diewald_fluid library ("Q1 of 2"), I've downloaded PixelFlow. It has beautiful examples of diffuse flow (e.g. smoke-like particles) but I'm stumbling on setting up parameters and initial fluid surface. For example, it's clear enough I should turn off diffusion for my case.

A big help would be a hint on how to set up an initial body of water. I would then disturb it to cause height "impulse" and non-zero velocity. (Think of tossing a pebble into a pond.)

Thanks...
