Is it possible to develop an app in Processing for android which can be used for daydreaming? I haven't been able to find anything about it online. If it is possible some sources for me to look at would be appreciated.

What do you mean by this? Are you talking about ambient graphics? Neural processing a la neurosky? Or do you mean the Android Daydream mode specifically -- which I'm not too familiar with, but I believe is a screensaver...?
I am talking about the screensaver
yeah, it's a screensaver specifically for when the phone is charging
there's a tutorial here which says that the app needs to extend DreamService class

this probably isn't happening by default with processing but there might be a way to add it. unfortunately i know very little about processing and android.
there is a live wallpapers tutorial here:
http://android.processing.org/tutorials/wallpapers/index.html
but the fact that the wallpapers choice is a menu option and daydreaming isn't available makes me think that you can't do this (yet).
there was, i think, a 'daydream using live wallpaper' app on the app store.
