Hi
I have a question related to the search engine here in the forum. Is it possible to use logical operators to refine the search results? I find that I have to search for keywords instead of using code statements or direct commands. However guessing the right keyword for a search could be as good as a guess.
I appreciate your comments,

I always use google with site:.....-parameter:
http://www.google.de/webhp?nord=1#nord=1&q=arraylist<PImage>+chrisir+site:http://forum.processing.org/two
or use the tags:

Does anybody know the functionality of keywords associated with new posts? If the OP sets the right keyword to a new post, how can they be used in a search in the forum? Would that work as a hash tag? (#tag for example?)

@Chrisir I don't follow...

I was just suggesting a link where you can insert the tag
I will guess it is just an html tag. Great, thxs.

there is a popular tags list here:
lower left corner

but you're right, no full list of used tags....
I also use google search to search the forum -- without phrases or logical operators, I find the in-forum search box almost useless.
The forum is Vanilla -- I believe that in order to improve search it would need to install the Sphinx Search plugin:

I'd just search the whole Processing website if I were you. It is better, and searches the whole website. The search in this forum is honestly useless, unless you're searching for a tag.
The forum search box has worked so far as working from memory and follow a bit of digging if I am in the mood. Some times I am interested in reviewing recent posts or to fetch common posts. A google search provides access to wider results, I agree. I do wish they will improve the search of the site. Looking for keywords and posts by users at the same time, or searching only on my posts or multi-tag searches... Thanks for all the comments.
