How to set point in time in an audio?

edited April 2016 in Arduino

I am going to set 20 points in time in a piece of music, this music is about 3 minutes. What I tend to do is when the music was played, and before it is close to one of point of time. An ellipse will appear in the centre of screen, enlarge gradually, and become colourful.

  • Is it always the same piece of music? I don't think you can use markers within an audio file, I suppose you could look at the audio stream for particular sequences, but if it's always the same music and same playback rate, does it have to be timed from the audio? just set the ellipse to start at a certain time.

  • Yes it is a piece of music. Because I will make an interactive action between processing and Arduino. When I click one of sensor, the ellipse will be disappeared. I will set the points of time in the music, before a point of time coming, you could know it is time to click the sensor.

    Thank you so much!
