An interactive online canvas made with processingjs and jquery

edited September 2015 in Share Your Work

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my work here.

It's something I have been working on in my spare time for the last 7-8 months.

It's a sort of "interactive canvas" you can use to draw, using generative paintbrushes for the most part.

Here you can find some demos on youtube of how you can use it.

The url of the application is : http://www.dosketchit.com

Let me know what you think of it. Thanks!

  • Any opinion ? I would really like to hear your feedback about it and what can be improved

  • Interesting, but the interface is not intuitive, which put me off digging too deep: it took me a while to figure out I had to hit 'on' to make a particular brush effect work (you need to have one effect activated by default at launch). You also have the separate 'enable stroke' option that appears to have the same effect - which is distinctly odd.

I'd take a different approach: when a brush effect tab is selected it is activated automatically - that's what the user will expect. You then just need a checkbox to make it persist (should they wish) when the user switches to another effect tab - and the tab is already highlighted to show the active effects.

  • Thank you very much ! I really appreciate your useful advices . I will work on it as soon as I have a little bit of time.
