is anyone else having this problem?

it seems like after i have too many tabs it starts bugging out so bad i can't even read errors and switching tabs has to be done with the drop down list.

I found a post from years ago about it, someone fixed it for themselves but it was probably an older version of processing and i can't find it posted anywhere.

What version of processing are you using?
What is the OS?
Approximately how many tabs do you need to have open for this to happen?

Under OSX I'm unable to reproduce this bug with 15 tabs. Errors are detected and switched to correctly, tab switching works with mouse clicks unless the window is set too small. This forces some tabs offscreen, but the tab switcher ui element works like it should.

This may be related to bug 54. http://dev.processing.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=54

wow. well, i figure it out.

I had this problem on a 32-bit XP machine and a 64-bit windows 7 machine, so I thought the problem must be in processing.

After hearing you couldn't reproduce it, I started overhauling my main machine.

Turns out i downloaded video drivers for both my computers on the same day, so they had the same video drivers. somehow both machines worked properly with the exception of this tabbing problem.

after a driver update everything works great.

so everybody, update your drivers!
