This is a bit of thread hijacking now (since this a demo of the audio library and we're talking about color sorting here), but it's interesting to see there're recently a lot of problems Windows users are having with JOAL, the underlying wrapper for the OpenAL drivers used by my library. Without going into much more detail here (if needed please start a new thread and send me a PM), but did you actually read the readme file in the audioutils folder? Did you install the OpenAL drivers?

This library requires an OpenAL compatible soundcard & driver
Get the driver from http://openal.org/
