I'd love to join this event. I'm especially interested in the tool development part....

I also stumbled across the fact that PShape / PShapeSVG is very much protected, and there seems to be no simple way to access the shape data...

I can think of many exciting applications if SVG shapes could be more readily modified... like extruding shapes in space, remapping and warping them, etc... Here is a little sketch I made when thinking about how Pshape might be beefed up:

Locationwise I'd vote for Berlin : )

hey bitcraft this would be a nice addition for pshape i believe.
there are a lot of other basic things i would love to see added to the processing core. I mentioned the ability do also draw basic shapes like a cylinder, thorus, etc and not only box and sphere... and i bet there are a lot of other things that should be part of processing and not only some libraries.

i guess berlin sounds like a good location, everybody is fine with it.
i am moving to berlin next month. maybe we can host the german workshop at our office then...

we had a meeting in Berlin last year. eskimoblood, tweakingknobs (and me) showed up. I guess we were too busy, or it was too hot, but not much came out of it. Sure we could start again this year. Emitter 19 studio is still interested in hosting this.

Any news on this? I'm sure it would've been posted already, but in any event I'm in Berlin for the week and would love to meet some of the Processing community here.
