Our school cafeteria is a near riot every lunch hour!  I have been asked to search for a cheap noise monitor.  These are about $70 but, given our budget limitations, even that is too much.  We do have an old, large monitor that could display an image of a sphere that transitions from green to red, depending upon volume input.  Is there a more or less readymade sketch that I could adapt for this purpose?  I am not a skilled programmer, so this would be very helpful.
