Sending sound to a specific channel in a 5.1 sound

Hello All,
This question is from a newbie in processing and its sound libraries.
I am involved in a project that needs to send the sound from mp3 files to a specific channel of a 5.1 channels sound card. I searched for a solution but haven't seen a way to do it for 5 channels, just stereo.
If anyone can point me to the right direction I would appreciate it,
