Help me if you can please

How do I convert a variable of type byte to integer.
I am using Arduino and must capture data from serial port and stored in a variable to work. But the data comes from the serial port type byte.

Thanks

My code is

import processing.serial.*;

Serial myPort;

void setup() {

 println(Serial.list());

 myPort = new Serial(this, Serial.list()[0], 9600);

}

void draw()
{

 byte[] inBuffer = new byte[7];
 while (myPort.available() > 0)
 {
   inBuffer = myPort.readBytes();
   myPort.readBytes(inBuffer);
   if (inBuffer != null) {
     String myString = new String(inBuffer);
     print(myString);

   }
 }

}

I am not sure what to vote (would be "conversion" instead...). You should remove the duplicate post, too.

Look at int() function, I believe it does what you want to do.
