correct quicktime7 version to use
May 24th, 2009, 7:29pm

what version of quicktime7 should I be using with winvdig 1.0.1?

QT6.5 worked fine but Processing 1.0.3 doesn't support it.

I tried using QT 7.0.3,  7.5.5, and 7.6 and all gave me a weird green video output from the camera.

Hi,

Yesterday I tried working with WinVdig too. I use Processing 1.0.3 and Quicktime 7.6. But I use WinVDig 0.99, WinVDig 1.04 didn´t work (an error), but on WinXp and Vista 0.99 works fine.

Hope that helps,
Anna

Hi!

I was having a lot of problems with winvdig too. I was using Processing 1.0.1 and tried a lot of combinations between different versions of QT and WinVDIG and all of it failed. Yesterday I downloaded Processing 1.0.3 and changed the WinVDIG version that a had to WinVDIG 0.99 (like AnnaV said) keeping QT 7.6 and is working perfectly.

Thanks AnnaV

I think that is important find and delete VsVDIG.qtx, VsDump.ax and Winvdig folder when you decide to change winVdig version

Good Luck!

Thanks,
I'll try deleting those files, For the time being I am using Quicktime 6.5.2, winVdig 1.0 and processing 131 to get working video.
