OSX 10.4 Issue

Hi,
I have created Tom Igoe's cat email program from Making Things Talk.  So I am using Processing to read an input from  Arduino. It works fine on my computer running OSX 10.5.  When I move it to it's more permanent home on a G4 tower running OSX 10.4.1 it does not work.  On my computer I use serial port 2.  On the tower with OSX 10.4 I only have a choice of serial port 0 or 1.  Neither of these work.  Also changing the baud rate does not do anything either.  Any suggestions are appreciated. One side note - we cannot upgrade the OSX as 10.5 causes older versions of Photoshop to not work.
