Hi,

I am currently working towards a dissertation/project for my degree exploring the interactivity between audience and media in installations. I am using Processing/Arduino and an ultrasonic sensor to create an interactive installation with sound and visuals reacting differently based upon the position of the audience member in the room. It is inspired by an installation I saw in Amsterdam last year by Boris Debackere titled 'Probe' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46EvWoOxBTA)

I would be really grateful if anyone knew of essays or articles discussing interactivity in art or new media. Also, I'd be really interested to see other work along this theme or projects people are working on that are similar.

Cheers for your help.

There are so many. You can search for online texts by David Rokeby and Golan Levin for a start.
