Anne,

Everyone has a specialty and skill level. Asking for a "programmer" is too vague. Does your project involve computer vision, networking, etc? If you write more about what you want to do and how much you have budgeted for programming, it will be easier for someone to make an appropriate suggestion.

Thank you for the suggestion Casey.

To start I need someone in the San Francisco Bay Area to help me understand what Processing can do and what it can't. Once I better understand that, I will better be able to describe my project.

However, I can say that that as far as I understand it, my project does not involve computer vision or networking.

Hi Anne,
With all due respect, I recommend checking out the learning section of the site, or one of the 3 Processing books. Many of us have spent a lot of time trying to help users better understand:

"...what Processing can do and what it can't"...

Then, as you have specific questions about any examples/concepts, ask away, and I know many of us will be more than happy to chime in.

I would be happy to speak with you about what you're trying to do and get you going in the right direction. I'm on the west coast as well it is easy for me to talk on the phone even.

You can see more of my professional details online:

I can provide free advice and if you decide you want to work together we can set up a pay structure that will work for you.

Take care and best of luck finding someone that fits your needs!
