Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis is programmed entirely in Processing, it’s the follow up to my Music is Math video. I developed my ‘zeno’ animation system a bit more to allow for nebulous additive blending as well as a few other things.

I can't begin to imagine how you are programming this stuff. Beautiful and amazing.

stunning ^^
lovely colors, lovely vegetal motives, lovely camera work

as one point of critique: the butterflies are quite static and i like the other BOC track better, but thats just personal taste Wink

but as said above, it looks impressive and i can't even think how to start such a project.

how do you deal with events in time?  is there some kind of timeline idea behind this? or is it performed/soundreactive in some way?

Bravo! Fantastic stuff. I'd love to know more about how you did it.

thanks for comments,
sure i could have kept working on it to make it 'better', but at this stage i'm just trying to show that a 100% generative computer animation can be just as good looking as a manually created after effects project.

I was kindly asked to submit Metamorphosis to this year’s Aniboom competition.

You can vote for it by visiting this link - http://www.aniboom.com/video/295157/Metamorphosis/

I’ve used my own music on this version , as I don’t have permission from the Boards of Canada guys yet,  but I think it still holds up well.

There are also stumbleupon, facebook links etc to help spread the word.  Remember, a vote for me is a vote for Processing and code art!

Thanks, Glenn.
