Step Sequencer
Jul 31st, 2008, 6:48am

Here is a step(ish) sequencer that I threw together as a little summer project.

http://www.ianbartholomew.com/etc/stepSeq1_0.zip

It's held together with duct tape, but hey, it works.  I'm an art student, not a programmer.  I also wanted to share this before I forgot about it, as I did this a while ago, and have since moved on to other things.  But I thought that someone might be able to use this for something.

Anyways...

I wanted to set it up to have more flexibility than a normal step sequencer.  So you can easily put in off rhythm notes.

Check out the readme for the full info.

Enjoy!

Yeah, I did forget to include the fonts.  Here is a file with them.

http://www.ianbartholomew.com/etc/stepSequencer1_1.zip

the libraries you should download, to get the most current version.

But I did try running it after reading this post, and it doesn't seem to be working.  I wrote it with 0135, and did a lot of work arounds and hacks, and I think that 1.0 might have broke it.

Thank you!

It's a pity if it not work...there are a lot of good examples of visualisations, animations etc, but i'm mostly interested in using Processing for developing nice graphic interfaces, actually for music software, so your patch very useful for learning, thank you!

If you are only interested in the interfaces, then you are in luck, because it's just the sound that seems to be broken at the moment.  If I get a chance between school, work and my other projects, I will take a look at it.
