Hello....

first of all i hope i am posting in the correct section...i was undecided in 2 topics where to post...if i am in the wrong section please do move me to the correct one...

second of all...i have recently just got a little involved with programming and with only the common basics that i know of...it has become quite interesting...for a beginner like me...but i have a question that i am hoping someone here can help me answer...i have recently just downloaded the file "processing-0135" for linux (Ubuntu 7.10)...

the question that i have is...can i make the processing into a icon on my desktop? So i can have it running just as if it was a application on my ubuntu...if so how?

because all im getting here from the processing-0135 folder and a file that is a executable script..i dont want to have to go throught he folder to open it...so =/

Well, I haven't a clue about linux, but surely it's just a case of creating a shortcut?

A quick search on google threw up this;

apparently right click on the desktop and create a new launcher.
