Open ended question is open ended.

I personally like scissors and glue for image processing. It's real time, no memory restrictions, and best of all it's already printed for you!

In all seriousness, they're all just tools. Is there anything more specific to your question? What is more useful to you? They are both useful.

C++ is much faster, so in a way it's "better". But more complicated. Depends on how good you are with these or how much time you are willing to invest in learning them.
