Blob labeling for motion tracking

Hello.
Some years ago I remember reading an article -and downloading some lingo code too- about labeling blobs in order to have a memory of their existence once they disappear behind other blob or object. The author was Setpixel, but in his actual site there is no codes nor references anymore. Has anyone ideas about where to find it? Has anyone implemented something similar for Processing? I thought this might be a good place to ask.
