text based applications
Nov 27th, 2007, 11:26pm

hi,

for inspirations, I'm looking for some examples of P5 applets which uses text input/output as main element.
(but not typographic design stuff, more on real "text" not "letters"...)

i'm planning to work on several experimental literature pieces, but all I found was p5 book/website examples basically
explains the functionality.
(there's few examples on casey/ben 's book tough...)

i study HTML/CSS/Javascript/supercollider(!) as well for this project, if you have any interesting examples, it's very welcome too.

thank you for sharing inspirations.

You'll probably find the piece 'For All Seasons' pretty inspiring:

The effects are 'typographic design stuff,' but each is driven by a narrative text. To view it, download the version appropriate to your OS. I'm not sure what language it was written in, but processing is more than capable of delivering the same quality goods. Best of luck.
