Sculptypaint

Ouch, seems like a long time ago I posted something on the processing site, but anyway my current project, work in progress.

http://www.xs4all.nl/~elout/sculptpaint/

It's a 3D sculpt generator I created for easy and fun generation of certain types of 3D models, that can be imported to Second life, since I hate to model by hand if possible.

Sculpties were introduced around 25 may this year in Second Life, and from a simple sculpt viewer; this packackage evolved. (and got a bit out of hand somehow, soon I want to rewrite it.)

People, can say bad or good things about second life, or several other 3D enviroments popping up. For me the micro-payments seem to work there, and doing net-art and experiments for years, withouth gettin any penny. Creating stuff for these new enviroments made me a lot micro payment almost everyday. That at the end of the day, covers my cost living, surviving, coding and stay independend.

High on my agenda is also 'Save as 3Ds file' then people using google earth 3D etc, can also toy around and import 3D models created with this program.

I have this feeling, in the nearby future the 2D websites will go 3D, although it depends on software developers, and enviroment/stuff available. But this means a lot of home users will want easy to create 3D software models, this tool is a first experiment into that direction.
