NextText library
Jul 27th, 2007, 3:42pm

Hello all,

Here is a typography library we have been working on for a few years now.

NextText allows the creation of interactive text-based applications by building a hierarchy of words, letters, and control points and by applying behaviours to these sets. The programmer has full control over the text and its behaviour.

The library was written at Obx Labs, a research studio based at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. We have been using it for our own applications for a few years now, and decided to make a Processing version for release to the public.

You can get the library on nexttext.net. The site includes an overview, a step-by-step tutorial, many examples, and complete documentation.

And please let us know what you think!
