Contract Amount: Hourly. Negotiable rates.

Osiris was hatched in Fall 2006 by three Brown University students. Osiris is a music visualizer that interfaces tagged photos, digital music, and song lyrics to create a synesthasia effect.  By establishing a link between lyrics in a song and the textual description of a visual, Osiris can extract and manipulate online visual content to create a dynamic music visualizer.

As of now, Osiris reads a song played in a user's iTunes player, retrieves the song lyrics from lyricwiki.org, matches those lyrics to tagged pictures on Flickr.com, and then manipulates and transforms those images in a cinematic experience.

We were selected as winners of the 2007 MTVu/Cisco Systems Digital Incubator Award, and have been given a grant to help us realize the dream of making a lyric-based music visualizer. We hope to launch the product as a free download later this year.

Osiris is looking to create a high quality technology/art project. We have already secured the necessary grant to begin building our initial release. We are looking to add 2-3 part-time/freelance developers to our team. We are looking to recruit developers with talent, experience, and communication skills. We are a dedicated and focused group that takes our work very seriously and expect the same from potential applicants.
