processing, MAC OS 10.3.9 on an iBook clamshell

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I like to use Processing on my old iBook clamshell (300mhz, 160MB RAM), at the time there is OS 9.01 installed, I like to install Mac Os 10.3.9 (which is the Maximum OS that could be installed). Has anybody experience with an actuell Processing version (0124...) and 10.3.9? Is there something I have to take care about?

Klaus

Hi, I installed Processing on an old G3 powerbook (pismo), 500mhz and 384megs ram, OSX 10.4
My only advice is that you'll need to install all the Java releases from the Apple site. I think you can still find the 10.3 versions on there as well.

Hope that helps.

Hi, thanks for your answer. It encouraged me to give it a try. Yesterday evening I installed Mac OS 10.3 and the 10.3.9 Combo Update and it runs better than I thought. It's a great System, really, of course it is a little bit slow, but its fine for me to code a little bit for fun, I've tried out some of the examples that came with Processing 124, it is pretty well. So I can use my lovely iBook some time longer than I've expected.

Thanks again...

Klaus
