Processing Book by Reas, Fry (MIT Press)

We're nearing completion of our book. The title is "Processing: a programming handbook for visual designers and artists." Today, we delivered the final designed document to the publisher. It needs one more round of editing and it's expected to print in May.

MIT Press has officially announced it:

We'll get the table of contents and a few sample chapter up on this site when it's closer to the publication date. We're very excited to share it with you!

Yaaay! *applauds

Does it come with a supporting website? (Not this one I mean) I ask because I'm sure a supporting CD of content would drive up costs.

We'll have a few supporting pages on this website, mostly a code download (we're releasing all the code in the book as a ZIP.) We worked hard to keep the cost down. It will be about $50 USD, but it's 732 pages and has a hard cover. The reference on the website (and included with the download) supports the book content. We didn't reproduced the reference as a book. Smiley
