Touch Screen Calibration

I am working on the software for my multitouch input.  I need to create some sort of calibration application.  I currently use a mouse control program, and the further i get from the center of the screen, the further the cursor is from under my finer.  Please help me with algorithms and the like.  Thanks.

PS> the input information from the screen are x,y coordinates, and i am using a java robot, so the needed output is also x,y coordinates.
