Collaborative Art with Processing

I was thinking of developing an online forum which allowed for collaborative development of Processing sketches.  A brief description/concept sketch is located at:

http://students.washington.edu/khormaee/misc/collaborative%20art.ppt

Would this be a welcome addition to the Processing community at large?
Any feedback would be great!

Thanks,
Cy

http://students.washington.edu/khormaee/misc/collaborative%20art.ppt is a working link.

As I understand it, you'd be looking at letting people edit source code in a web browser, which would then be compled on the server, and you'd be keeping track of the 'lineage' of the code as a way to let people explore the site

It's a little like Rich Hauck's CodeTree (especially in concept) only CodeTree doesn't compile things... still, it sounds interesting, and I'd certainly try it out.

There are several collaborative programming environments out there, you might like to take a look at playsh for the idea of a shared workspace environment taken to an extreme conclusion (it's a python-powed MUD/MOO).

Let us know how you're getting along.
