Ahoi all ;)
First some complaining.. i wanted to read the forum and loading one page took over 317 secs!! (no im not on 56k modem, i have a decent adsl connection) i just happen to live in hungary ;) (a nice place anyway)
so since connecting takes a lot of time usually, i thought of offering some space on one of our servers as a mirror.
i would gladly mirror the whole site, including not only the dload section, but the forum, exhibition, references, and everything.
it would be a lot faster for quite a lot folks here in mid europe.

thanks for the offer.. unfortunately i don't think we have the time to properly keep this sort of thing up to date and happening (it's not just a matter of copying a handful of files, of course) between casey and i. if we had a person dedicated to just doing the systems stuff for us, it would be a different story.

have you done a traceroute to the server so that you can see where the bottleneck is?

this week there was a day when processing.org couldnt even be resolved here in hungary.. and now again the site is extremely slow..

ok lets discard the forum... but the rest of the page? though its not hard to run mysql to export a table.. once in an hour.. and copy the rest of the files... we just have to drop the user database on this side and peresent a custom error msg at login to post plz use processing.org
