Weird java memory leak
Jan 16th, 2006, 8:56pm

Something keeps happening to my java, and it's quite annoying..
It doesn't give any errors or anything, just everytime i run some application using java, that application claims 99% of my resources.
This only happens after a while after i'v rebooted.. almost like a timer..
But just now, i found out that i could perfectly fine open the java-option dialog in control panal.. and javaw.exe appeared in the taskmanager dialog.. and that didn't take any resources... whilst when i started processing, it jumped right up to 99..
I got a bit further when i removed java in the processing folder, it opens processing, but won't allow me to operate with the program, as it also took 99%..

Anything anybody can recommend?

not a processing bug, so closing thread. you'd have to check the java forums to see if anyone has run into the same problem. personally, i'd suspect something about the java loader, a version incompatability, or the auto-update process run amok.
