Mediaruimte : <a href=proce55ing>
Nov 3rd, 2005, 12:15pm

In connection with the Cimatics festival that is currently taking place in Brussels, the Mediaruimte showroom for digital culture is showing an exhibition they call <a href=proce55ing>. In addition to showing a number of generative works on plasma screens and as interactive projections, the exhibition has taken over a number of storefront on Rue de Laekens and turned them into projection spaces.

The result is a showpiece of generative works with a focus on audiovisual works, some of which were created in Processing. The artists include Andreas Gysin, Dextro, Dimitre Lima, Elout de Kok, Golan Levin, Marius Watz and Meta. The only caveat: Most of the pieces were in fact not done in Processing, making the title a little misleading...

I've blogged it in more detail over at generator.x.

I would have to agree with you on that, it became even clearer to me when I saw the show and realized there was in fact barely any Processing pieces in it.

The show was good though, and the MediaRuimte / Lab[au] people make very nice company indeed.

Article in french newspaper Liberation whose title could be literally translated to "Algorythm under the skin". There are several quotes from Marius in it as well as descriptions of exposed installations at Mediaruimte.
