Web feed of del.icio.us "processing.org"

I've implemented a way to take a RSS feed of del.icio.us tags and display it as a browsable web page. I'm using it over at Generator.x to display feeds for the tags "processing.org" and "generator.x".

Have a look: http://www.generatorx.no/delicious.php?tag=processing.org

The PHP scripting was easy to do, it uses Magpie for RSS reading and is based on a script from Return to Design. Maybe an idea to implement for Processing.org

sweet! this is a great idea. lenny burdette (from UCLA) is currently re-writing the processing website to make it compliant with the latest web standards and to make it more automated (he's the current hero of the processing world). i'm thinking it's best to but the del.icio.us tags as another section on the right side of the homepage OR to redesign the exhibition and have the most recent 5-10 on the main exhibition page. or a combination of both. what do you think, master of the generator.x?

Automation is good. I love tinkering with the Wordpress blog setup, it's really easy to add new intelligent features.

I think you could have a column with the 5-10 most recent ones both on the home page and exhibition page, with an option to switch to a page showing 50 or so del.icio.us links. I'm not storing the entries right now, but that should be easy to add, in which case you could have a searchable chronological database of links tagged "processing.org".

The great thing about using the del.icio.us system is that people contribute in a more bottom-up way, and they bookmark all kinds of things in very different ways from each other. Tags and folksonomy are fascinating topics.
