for the forum, it would be nice to receive an email notification when someone answers one of your topics.

this request has my vote too! it really would help to stay on top of (long) discussions and delayed replies.

i agree that this could be great. if you post alot, it could also be a pain and flood your inbox. i don't know much about boards. i looked around for some hours and this one (YaBB) seemed fine. it's being used entirely off-the-shelf without any alterations. does anyone know of another board that has this functionality?

casey, i've playing around with YaBB myself recently and i'm sure it has an checkbox for email notifications in the forum preference panel. AFAIK this is turned off by default, though... write me off list if you need help! it'd be great if we can sort this out.

ok, ok. it sure is there and i've tested it. seems like a fine feature. the only problem is that it totally breaks my HTML for the subnav (Index, Search, People, Profile, Logout). there is not enought room for extra menu item. at the moment, i can't justify the time in changing the navigation structure for adding this feature. i hope i can figure out another way.
