Memory Requirements
« on: Mar 15th, 2005, 9:19pm »

What's the biggest image size you could generate with 1.5 GB RAM on a PC?  2 GB RAM?  4 GB? My 1GB G4 laptop tops of at 3100x3100 with 512 MB configured memory usage for Processing.

I'm asking because I need to know how much memory I would need to generate prints similar to the monstrous 10300x6600 that Tarbell prints.

Thanks in advance.

Just to be clear, those huge prints are created with Flash MX 2004.

The largest continuous Image I've been able to render in Processing 0067 is 5000x5000 with 1.5 GB RAM on a PC, allocating 1024k to Processing (not necessarily something that happens very fast either).
