How to make applications out of Processing?

Hi,
I have a bit of experience in Java programming, I recently started using Processing and found it vey helpful. I just wanted to know if there is a way to make applications instead of applets with Processing.

Future versions will make it easy. For now, there is a workaround posted somewhere on this board. Try a quick search.
