Transparent GIFs

Is it possible to render Transparent GIFs on Proce55ing on top of another bitmaps and retain their transparency? I've tried with the image method but the transparency was killed, showing the matte color instead.

hm, no.. i'm surprised that hasn't come up yet though, seems kinda big. it's planned for the future (along with a chunk of the graphics stuff) but not in there just yet.
